📋 About This Mod

Basic Description:

I found it over-doing for the vanilla game to change karma titles for the player practically every single level in Fallout New Vegas or Tale of Two Wastelands, so I decided to make this mod. This mod simply renames the karma titles for your character for reaching Good, Neutral, or Evil karma at various levels. The goal of this mod is to make the karma titles much more consistent and more spaced out between levels. I also tried to make the max karma levels have more epic titles.

Requirements:

  • []New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE xNVSE)

[]ROOGNVSE (WARNING: ROOGNVSE changes the max level cap to 30. I strongly recommend also downloading lStewieAl's Tweaks and Engine Fixes (which is an essential mod anyways), then go to the main menu -> Tweaks -> Settings -> Max Character Level -> Enable this setting and set it to any value you want, such as 50).

[]Make sure Consistent Karma Titles - ESPless overwrites ROOGNVSE.

Detailed Description:

  • []ESPless

[]Consistent Karma Titles - ESPless is natively compatible with New Vegas and Tale of Two Wastelands alike. No special version nor patch is needed. In fact, this mod should be perfectly compatible with any other mod that obviously does not rename karma titles.

[]Consistent Karma Titles - ESPless is perfectly safe to enable/disable mid-playthrough. If you download this mod and look at your existing game saves and see the karma titles have not changed, do not think this mod doesn't work; it certainly does. Your karma title is saved to your game save. This means that when you download this mod, you must load your game save and save a new save for the new karma titles to be applied.

[]Consistent Karma Titles - ESPless completely changes the karma titles for levels 31-50. (Hopefully Consistent Karma Titles - ESPless will change the karma titles for levels 1-30 in the future).

[]A new Karma title is obtained every 5 levels (or if you obviously transition into a different karma state). The vanilla game gives you a new karma title practically every single level. Though I wish to rename the karma titles for level 30 and under, I do not know how to achieve this; I believe this is due to a limitation of the script extenders. If someone knows of a way to do so, then I will gladly make changes to do so.

  • Karma titles beyond level 50 made by ROOGNVSE are disabled with this mod, as I intend for character level 50 to be the max karma level.

If you would like to see the vanilla game titles for comparison, then please see Karma (Fallout: New Vegas) or Karma (Fallout 3). (I believe the Fallout 3 titles apply to TTW). <

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Consistent Karma Titles - ESPless is a lightweight Fallout New Vegas mod that renames karma titles so they don't change at every level. It's for players who find the vanilla system excessive and want a more consistent experience. With 79 endorsements and 224,185 downloads, it's a popular quality-of-life tweak.

✨ Key Features

Renames karma titles in Fallout New Vegas and Tale of Two Wastelands.
ESPless plugin, so it doesn't take up a load order slot.
Simple, focused change to reduce title changes per level.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge download count (224k) shows it's a widely used tweak.
  • ESPless means no plugin slot, perfect for load order purists.
  • Does exactly what it says—no bloat, just consistent titles.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only 79 endorsements compared to downloads—maybe not everyone's cup of tea.
  • Author didn't specify exactly which titles are changed, so you might need to test in-game.
  • Last updated in 2024, so it's current, but no guarantee for future game patches.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Fallout New Vegas players who are tired of the karma title changing every few levels and want a more stable role-playing experience. Also great for Tale of Two Wastelands fans who want consistency across both games. Skip if you like the vanilla title progression or want more gameplay changes—this is purely cosmetic.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's ESPless, just drop the files into your Data folder or use a mod manager—no need to worry about load order.
  • If you're using Tale of Two Wastelands, make sure you install it after TTW to avoid conflicts.
  • Check the in-game Pip-Boy to see the new titles after installing; if you don't notice a change, verify the mod is active in your mod manager.
