📋 About This Mod
1. Description
B42 Descriptions is one of my favorite mods. I was always a big fan of the item descriptions you'd find in the classic Fallout games, so when I found out there was a mod that added them to New Vegas, I was very excited. I did notice that it needed some proofreading, though, which is why I made this mod.
I've revised all of the config files that came with the original mod for grammar and consistency. Some descriptions that I felt could have been more interesting have been rewritten from the ground up, using my own imagination or information from the Fallout wiki. I've also added support for JSawyer Ultimate Edition. In the future, I might add support for other mods I use.
I've covered what felt like thousands of lines, so it's possible I may have missed some mistakes. Please let me know if you find any and I will fix them. Also, if you're familiar with XML files, it would be great if you could share how to resize the description pop-ups to better accommodate the text.

✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 159k downloads and 499 endorsements show it's widely used.
- Directly improves text quality—no more typos or confusing descriptions.
- Lightweight and simple: just a text overhaul, no gameplay changes to worry about.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2022—might not cover newer items added in later game updates.
- No detailed changelog or list of specific fixes, so you don't know exactly what's changed.
- Purely cosmetic text changes—if you're looking for gameplay tweaks, this isn't it.
For players who notice and care about item description typos or awkward phrasing. If you're a lore enthusiast or just want cleaner text, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you want gameplay changes—this is purely a text polish mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a text-only mod, it should be safe to add mid-save, but always back up your save just in case.
- If you use other mods that alter item descriptions, load order might matter—place this one after them to ensure its changes take priority.
- Check the mod's page for any compatibility notes, but with no dependencies, it's likely a simple drop-in.
