Atompunk Vault Suits - HD Retexture

I really like vault suits.

This mod is a retexture of the vanilla vault suits, redrawn from the ground up. The size of these textures are 2048x2048 for diffuse maps, and 1024x1024 for normals. (double the original texture resolution).

The suits covered are:

  These cover the suits from Fallout 3 and New Vegas in these categories. The other variants are not included because they're completely different models and textures from the others - which share the same UV map between them - meaning I would have had to remake those textures from the ground up in addition to the standard vault suit. Given how much longer this took to make than Adamowicz Vault Suits, I decided it'd be better not to texture those suits for now.

  Also included is an alternate file that recolors the vault suits to use a darker blue, closer to Adamowicz Vault Suits, for those who prefer it. This alternate file only contains diffuse textures, so you need to download the standard mod first, then overwrite it with the alternate file.

  If you're a modder, and you want to use these textures in your own mod, you can download the Modder's Resources file and freely use whatever's in there (if the standard file doesn't help you). The Modder's Resources file includes all of the vault suit variants without numbers, as well as the numbers separated from the suits. With these, you can create a vault suit with any number you need (except 5. There was no 5.)

  Installation Instructions: Simply drag 'n' drop the 'textures' folder into your New Vegas 'Data' folder, or install with a mod manager. If you want the alternate file, overwrite the original mod with it.

  • []tortured Tomato, whose Blank Vault Suit Normals mod I used alongside vanilla textures to make the cleanest HD normals for these suits I could put together. This mod's pretty old, so the Nexus permissions and credits section shows it all red, but the written License/Legal section at the bottom gives permission to use if credit is given. If there's any issue with my use of this mod, I'll remove the current normals and figure something else out.
