NWNEE Adult Overhaul Framework

Introduction

This framework ended up taking way longer than I expected..

While I was playing ADWR:EE I found myself wanting to create a single player module for myself. What turned from fiddling around in the toolset a little trying to figure things out escalated into a giant custom content overhaul. I created a module for testing all the different scripts and content I was slapping together and I quickly realized that my test area was actually becoming a demo tool of how all these things worked, so I decided to put together a framework with documentation for all this content.

This is ultimately a builder resource - although you could technically throw all these heads / bodies into your override folder and see what happens.. but it's not designed for that.

My hope is that this can give you inspiration, save you a bunch of time or open up possibilities for making something that you couldn't before.

File Content Breakdown

- aoee_2da.hak

Contains all the 2DA's used by this framework.

- aoee_heads.hak

Contains all the custom heads used by this framework.

- No 2DA needed.

- Technically optional if you don't like these heads you can ignore it (Some scripts in the Demo. Mod assume certain heads are at certain ID's)

- aoee_anim.hak

Contains all the animations.

- Needs phenotype. 2d

- aoee_body.hak

Contains all the custom armor / body options

- heavily based on 2acornupper's format

- requires all the 2DA's in aoee_2da except phenotypes

- demo.mod

A demo module that contains a script library and a bunch of rooms to learn how to implement / use a lot of the content in this framework with simple  examples, explanations and recommendations based on my experiences. (More details below)

- aolib.nss

Just an export of the "Adult Overhaul Library" script as a reference.
