NFS UNBOUND - BACK TO ROCKPORT (9.0.3)

Welcome back everyone!

I've finally found the time and peace to get back to work on my mod, which I know many of you held dear.

As the title suggests, with my mod, I wanted to bring back the nostalgic days of 2005's Need for Speed: Most Wanted (the "Original").

Despite some technical difficulties that arose with various game updates, I've revived my mod, which had unfortunately stalled at version 5. 0 (of the game).

Today, I present to you the "definitive version", compatible with the latest update 9. 0. 3.

I should point out that I had to sacrifice the Undercover Corvettes (Most Wanted speciale Heat Level 6) because they were giving me too many technical problems, but I managed to add Sgt. Cross to Heat Level 5.

I also finally managed to get the correct cars for each Heat Level, just like in the original game.

To ensure the best gameplay, I had to find a workaround for the infinite health of the vehicles, which is now optional. In fact, it's not active by default; to get it, you need to equip any repair kit, which, in this mod, allows for virtually infinite regenerations (9,999) and costs 1 credit to install.

Furthermore, this system, while not entirely faithful to Most Wanted, where the car was practically invulnerable, adds realism with the car actually being damaged, useful for taking excellent in-game photos and adding realism to the action.

Without this trick, you would have had some police cars in chases that were completely indestructible, using the old system that made them invincible (they updated many parameters from v. 5 to v. 9).

Unfortunately, again due to technical limitations, I was unable to change the "OFFICER" lettering on the plates of some pursuing vehicles.

It would have been nice to have chase breakers like in Most Wanted... but for now... let's not daydream...

In the meantime, you can enjoy some Most Wanted-style chases and spend hours of fun and nostalgia.

In my freetime I'll create other version of this mod (harder difficulty level on pursuit, new cop vehicles pursuing, improvements and balancements etc.).

20/11/2025 - Removed searchlights on Undercover Crown Victoria and Dodge Charger; removed frontal bull bar from Undercover Dodge Charger.

Intendend for Single Player mode. May cause problems with Multiplayer experience.
