MW Arcade Drift

MW Arcade Drift v0. 1. 0 adds brake-initiated arcade drifting to NFS Most Wanted (2005).

Brake while steering to enter a drift. Use the handbrake for a deeper entry or extra angle mid-drift, then counter-steer and straighten to finish the slide. It includes a smooth drift camera, a small mode indicator, and visible counter-steering.

Start with the car’s in-game Performance Tuning (Handling). If that does not give you the balance you want, use the optional editor to adjust the default or individual car’s drift profile. Profiles are created on first vehicle entry. Turn drift mode OFF and ON with Ctrl+D to reload saved changes. Core works on its own and contains no EXE.

NFS 2015-inspired action camera 

The drift camera brings a more dramatic view to each slide.

Enable or disable the camera effect independently in the camera settings, drift handling remains available either way.

User-adjusted drift/camera profiles can be redistributed and shared.

Requirements

NFS Most Wanted (2005), an existing ASI loader, and a supported NFSPatcher English 1. 3 executable or its supported 4GB-patched variant. Close the game and extract Core’s [ scripts/ ] folder into the game directory. Preserve existing settings when updating. Install the separate Editor ZIP only if you want its slider UI.

The mod currently affects the player vehicle; AI racers and police are unchanged. It aims for a Criterion and Ghost Games-inspired arcade feel rather than an exact reproduction. The reviewed drive session showed no conspicuous issues. FWD visuals were not covered by that session.
