MVRC — My Winter Car VR

MVRC brings VR support to My Winter Car, letting you experience the cold Finnish winter. Look out the driver's window at the snowy landscape, glance down at the dashboard, peer through the windshield at the road ahead. (Almost) Anything you could do with a mouse, you can now do within VR.

⚠ Early Development Disclaimer

MVRC is currently in early development. While it is functional, you may encounter bugs, crashes, or unexpected behaviour. If you run into any issues, please report them in the comments section and I will do my best to address them in future updates.

The mod

To improve VR performance, this version disables the normal game screen rendering. As a result, your monitor will display a black screen while playing in VR. This is intentional, and the game renders normally inside the VR headset.

  VR Controls

  • []Move — Left Joystick[/]

    []Part Assembly — Hold a part near the install location (by grabbing it) and press trigger to assemble it once the green assembly indicator comes[/]

    []Crouch — Right Joystick Press[/]

    []Grab — Grab trigger (If near a tool will equip a tool (even while not in tool mode)[/]

    []Interact Left(Pretty universal interacting method that does almost everything that is normally done by pressing left mouse button) — trigger (Either controller)[/]

    []Interact Right(Some Rightclick actions like releasing car handbrake or reducing hand throttle on kekmet) — B (upper button on right controller) + trigger[/]

    []Tightening bolts and screws — While holding the correct size tool hold (middle of your hand! for better experience (game wise) it does not function mainly from the end of the tool) near a bolt and press trigger, the bolt will tighten by rotating your hand clockwise and untighten the other way (Ratchet works same as in game)[/]

    []Switch Ratchet mode — While holding the ratchet, you can switch if it tightens or loosens by pressing B and X (turning hand either way will tighten or loosen the bolt depending on Ratchet switch direction)[/]
