📋 About This Mod
Let's you upgrade any form of weapon using configurable materials. OpenMW only
This mod let's you upgrade any weapon, including bows, arrows and bolts. Offers in-world crafting, no menus. Configurable. Tested on OpenMW 0. 50.
Very similar to my previous mod, Armor Upgrade.
Supports upgrading entire stacks of arrows, bolts and other throwables, but only those.
Any suggestions to the default values of materials are welcome.
How to use
To upgrade weapons you will need Armorer's Hammer which can be bought from any smith.
-
[]Place down desired weapon anywhere
[
]Place desired material close to the armor, can be more than one at a time, only one by default. (Closest material is picked during the upgrade)[]Wield your Armorer's hammer
[]Activate the weapon while in combat stance
Difficulty and materials
Each material needs a certain armorer skill. Weapon can be upgraded only once. Upgrading with more material is harder. If upgrade failed armor durability will be lost.
If you don't like something about the mod, you can configure it, settings covered in lower section.
Configuration
-
[]Infinite upgrades - removes the limit on amount of times you can upgrade weapons.
[
]Ignore weight - doesn't apply material weight penalty. Weapon weight stays the same.[]Ignore difficulty - Material armorer skill requirement is ignored, letting you use any material at any skill.
[]Always succeed - Disables failing the upgrade process.
[]Material matching - Restricts which materials can upgrade what weapon material-wise. For example you can upgrade glass weapons with only glass. Disabled by default.
[]Max materials - Maximum amount of materials that can be used during one upgrade.
- Weapon damage cap - There are two options, global cap that applies to every weapon or cap per weapon type. Max damage value seems to be 255.
Materials can be added, removed and edited by tweaking the MaterialsStatTable.csv in scripts/WeaponUpgrade. In theory any item could become a upgrade material. You can tweak all the values to your heart content.
