The Death Blow of Abernanit

One of my favourite books in Morrowind the "Death Blow of Abernanit", a (semi) epic poem about a worshiper of Mehrunes Dagon who attempted to bring the Dunmer back to the old ways, by claiming to be the "heir to House Dagoth" and restoring the worship of the Daedra. He names himself Dagoth Thras' and occupies a grand citadel at the spire tower of "Abernanit" where he commands his legions against the Tribunal.

A Grandmaster of the Ordination, one Rangidil Ketil, leads an army of Ordinators and Buoyant Armigers in a great clash against the heretic, and in the end the two face in mortal combat. Rangidil employs: A Blade, A Spear and A Mace, but is unable to bypass the shield-blocking skills of Dagoth Thras'. Eventually our great hero tires and in his last moments asks Dagoth Thras' for the secret to his blocking technique, to which Thras' replies it is reflex but is unable to explain how he blocks so well. Distracted trying to think of an explanation for his skills Rangidil stealthly pierces Thras, ending his reign of terror.

This book is quite humorous due to its' "meta-implications". The reference to Thras' being unable to explain how he blocks and it is simply by "instinct and reflexes" is obviously a reference to how you cannot manually block in Morrowind but it rather is done automatically based off of skills/attributes and RNG.

This mod adds 4 Artifacts to various named Ordinators throughout the Tower of Dawn (Lower Level included).

The Artifacts are:

Rangidil's Blade.

Rangidil's Spear.

Rangidil's Mace.

Dagoth Thras' Shield.

As of right now they use the meshes and textures for their ebony counterparts. Future updates will include unique textures (and perhaps meshes) for each artifact and flavour dialogue added to each NPC explaining more about Rangidil's life after (and before) the Battle of Abernanit. Perhaps even Quests to be able to earn the items without having to kill the current holders.

If you want to spawn the items in open console and type:

player->additem "DBoA_Blade" 1

player->additem "DBoA_Spear" 1

player->additem "DBoA_Mace" 1

player->additem "DBoA_Shield" 1
