📋 About This Mod
The Bare Necessities: Simple Needs
-
[]A simple needs mod designed to blend in with the base game and Project Tamriel[/]
[]Eat, drink, and sleep regularly to maintain your stats[/]
[]Suffer penalties to key stats if you ignore your needs[/]
[]Use Skooma and Moon Sugar to ease your needs, at the risk of addiction[/]
[]Gather water from wells, groundwater, and rain[/]
[]Take shelter from the elements using tents and camp using portable bedrolls[/]
[]No added menus and buttons: needs are addressed immersively through base game systems like inventory and hotkeys[/]
[]Minimal edits to game world, broad compatibility with new lands mods and city/landscape overhauls[/]
[]Works with MWSE or OpenMW[/]
Features
Hunger and Thirst
-
[]Needs will accumulate in cycles, increasing every 8 hours passed without food, drink, or sleep.[/]
[]Time for needs to accumulate is configurable up to 23 hours.[/]
[]Each need applies penalties to different attributes:[/]
[]Hunger affects Endurance: total fatigue available for running, jumping, and attacking.[/]
[]Thirst affects Strength: maximum encumbrance, melee damage.[/]
[]Fatigue affects Agility and Intelligence: accuracy and dodging in combat, magicka capacity and regeneration.[/]
[]Going too long without satisfying a need (10 cycles by default, individually configurable) will cause you to start dying of it.[/]
[]Meeting your needs may grant a small random boost of 1-5 points to their respective stats, which will last through the next cycle.[/]
[]1 unit of food/drink will satisfy 8 hours of hunger/thirst, with items' units based on size and type.[/]
[]Food and drink will be recognized when eaten from the menu, with hotkeys, or direct from containers by dragging them onto the player's character image in the menu.[/]
[]A full night's sleep will fully relieve Fatigue. A nap of a few hours hours will relieve 1 cycle (8 hours by default) of Fatigue. A certain item can help you relieve more fatigue with less sleep:[/]
Foods that are clearly edible or described as edible in the game's lore will relieve hunger:
Daedra Hearts
Durzog Meat
Ghoul Hearts
Hackle-Lo Leaves
Holly Berries
Marshmerrow
