✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Niche but useful for modders dealing with master dependency headaches.
- Community-trusted with 129 endorsements and nearly 2,000 downloads.
- Directly addresses a common modding pain point—unwanted parent masters.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008—may not work with modern game versions or mod managers.
- Utility only—no in-game features, so it's useless for players who don't mod.
For mod authors and tinkerers who need to clean up master dependencies in their plug-ins. If you're a player just looking for content, skip this—it's a behind-the-scenes tool.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're modding Morrowind, use this to strip Tribunal dependencies if you want a mod that works without the expansion.
- Always back up your plug-in files before running TESDTK—it modifies them directly.
- Test your modified plug-in in a clean install to ensure no new errors appear.
