📋 About This Mod
S3LightFixes is a descendant of Waza-lightfixes, which itself is a descendant of Lightfixes.pl by vtastek. All three applications are designed to make ESP files which adjust the lighting values from all mods listed in one's openmw.cfg.
In other words, make light gud. What sets this version apart is that it's a standalone binary application, instead of piggybacking off tes3cmd. The changes it makes are the same as the previous two, but with additional conveniences like automatic installation, support for portable installs of OpenMW, itself having greater portability, and ultimate customization of lighting values in your configuration as quickly and easily as I could come up with. Anything you can imagine doing with lighting is doable with lightfixes, and support for PBR shaders can be disabled or enabled at will. Lightfixes is also save-safe, so feel free to make any changes you want to before, during, or after a playthrough. Yes, really!
Installation & Usage
1. On all platforms, the ideal place to put lightfixes is immediately adjacent to openmw(.exe). This way, it can automatically determine its installation directory.
However, this isn't a requirement, and lightfixes can work without knowing where exactly to place the generated omwaddon.
2. Run the exe (binary) however is most convenient for you - this includes just double-clicking the thing. Linux users, feel free to stick it in $PATH
3. If you did NOT place s3lightfixes(.exe) next to openmw itself, place it in a data directory OpenMW recognizes. If you don't want to make a new one, put it in `data-local`, which on your respective platform can be located in the `Paths` document for openmw: https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reference/modding/paths.html
4. For automatic enablement, you can set `auto_enable` to true in lightConfig.toml, or us the `-e` argument on the command-line when running lightfixes. To make sure lightfixes is always enabled, use `-eu` instead.
Customization Examples:
In lightConfig.toml:
# Tweaking specific candle/light values:
green = 128
green = 128
radius = 254
duration = 1199. 0
s3lightfixes.exe --ambient "caius cosades' house=sun=red=99,green=24,blue=99;ambient=red=24,green=25,blue=69"
