Rangoon's Quest

DESCRIPTION:

Adds a medium length quest where you find a dead man named Ivan who was chasing after a man named Rangoon who chases after the man who chased after his mentor. If you choose to chase after Rangoon, you'll be rewarded with a tough boss, a unique weapon and a ring which allows teleportation to a storage room that has many chests.

The idea was to create something of an endgame quest. To start it, you need to find the corpse of an imperial on the mountaintops East of Caldera. From there, a few journal entries will eventually lead you to a very strong boss fight, with matching rewards.

This is my second mod, so I appreciate all feedback, especially if something doesn't work as intended!

SPOILERS FOR REWARDS

I wanted it to fit in with a standard Morrowind playthrough, so I kept things simple and not overpowered.

On the final boss's body, a new one-handed longblade Storm Queller has quite good stats.

Also on the body, a very simple teleport ring. It works one way only and will bring you to a room with 18 chests that have 500 encumbrance each. I kept the ring simple so that it can blend in well with the other teleportation services in the game. Instead of having the ring return you to your original position, which wouldn't have existed in the vanilla game, I decided to let the player figure out how they'd use divine/almsivi/mark spells/potions to move back and forth. To entice creative thinking and playing ;)

A wall inside of the storage room will bring you into the boss's chambers again. To enter the storage room again, simply use the ring again or touch the matching painted bird wall in the boss's chambers (Note: you can enter the storage room prior to killing the boss, if you've got the stones and think you can run past him twice to store your goodies.)

INSTALLATION:

1. Unzip all files into your Morrowind/Data Files directory

2. Open Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box besides Rangoons_Quest.esp

COMPATIBILITY:

Edits one tile in Arkngthand Deep Ore Passage. Adds a trapdoor in Uveran Ancestral Tomb.
