📋 About This Mod

QUEST VOICES 3. 82

By Von Djangos

Description:

ElevenAI generated voices for quest-giving NPCs in Morrowind. Works with OpenMw.

Currently adds over 1800 original lines of voiced dialogue.

The intention is that every major faction questgiver will ask you about the status of the quest you're on, tell you if they have no jobs left, and recognise you becoming head of the guild.

I've tried to do the same with everyone who has a misc quest - like a naked nord or a lost pilgrim.

They're all trained on the original voice actors, so its 'vanilla friendly', if that's such a thing.

The mod has expanded to included more than just quest givers, but lots of NPCs in Morrowind who have unusual greetings.

Great demo video by Lucevar below (V1. 1):

Currently covers in full:

All Main Quest NPCS

All Faction Questgiver NPCS

Wilderness NPCs looking for help (Naked Nords, lost pilgrims, etc)

Misc quest NPCs and NPCs with non-generic dialogue

Publican greetings

Telvanni greetings & idles

DF and HM spellcaster attack barks ("I'll turn your bones to ash!" etc)

Dunmer guard class idles ("Where is my relief? Always late." etc)

DF Noble class idles ("Her dress was exquisite. I must get the name of her tailor." etc)

Vampire voices and NPC reactions

Questgiver wounded reactions

Female Sleepers

Argonian and Khajiit slaves you can free in dungeons

Nerevarine greetings

Aren't AI-generated voices robotic/static?

They are over longer dialogue lines - when you put multiple phrases together. For short barks or a couple of sentances, with enough 'rerolls' and enough variance in the emotional output, you can get some stunning results.

Does this work with OpenMW?

Does this work with Voices of Vvardenfell?

Yes, you can use both together - these lines fire before the dialogue box loads, VoV fires after. However, there may be some overlap (ie - someone says 'Where is the report?' when you approach them, and then again when you load the dialogue box.) VoV used to not be compatible with OpenMW, but there's an experimental patch you can download.

Any tips for using ElevenAI?

1. When loading in your 25 samples, try to use the longest samples possible. Arrange the list by filesize, and be creative. Training the Breton Male voice will work better using the Chargen class questions than the standard greetings.

2. Keep the sentances short - the longer you try and run a dialogue block, the more likely it will either sound mad (too much tonal variety) or robotic (too monotone)

3. Pull the stability slider down to something like 20-25%, and get read

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Quest Voice Greetings adds over 1,800 lines of voiced dialogue to Morrowind's quest-giving NPCs, using ElevenAI to replicate the original actors' voices. Compatible with OpenMW, this audio mod enhances immersion for players who want spoken greetings without replacing the game's core systems.

✨ Key Features

Adds over 1,800 original lines of voiced dialogue for quest-giving NPCs
Uses ElevenAI to generate voices based on the original Morrowind voice actors
Compatible with OpenMW
Focuses on quest-giving NPCs to enhance immersion during interactions

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge addition: 1,800+ lines means you'll hear new voices across many quests
  • Uses the original actors' voices, so it stays true to the game's feel
  • OpenMW support is a big plus for modern players

⚠️ Cons

  • Only covers quest-giving NPCs—other dialogue remains silent
  • AI-generated voices might sound slightly off compared to original recordings
  • No mention of compatibility with the original Morrowind engine (only OpenMW is confirmed)
🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind players who want more spoken dialogue without a full overhaul. If you use OpenMW and crave immersion during quest conversations, this is a must-try. Skip if you're on the original engine or prefer fully voiced mods with broader coverage.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 5 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you're on OpenMW, just drop the mod files into your data folder and enable it in the launcher.
  • Check that your Morrowind installation is up to date before installing to avoid conflicts.
  • Since it's audio-only, it won't affect gameplay balance—safe to use alongside other mods.
