Poison Arrow Kit - Redux
A TES3 Morrowind mod
re-made and released by Stripes
This is a clean remake of an ancient personal mod.
It is nothing fancy or even great for it's time,
but i like it for it's raw simplicity.
This mod is made obsolete by the MWSE mod Poison Crafting
as well as Morrowind Code Patch with arrow enchanting enabled
but it still works great in its own way
What it does:
adds a misc item that allows you to add poison effects
to any vanilla non-enchanted non-unique arrow
Installation:
put the esp file in your data files folder
activate it in the menu.
Where to obtain it in game:
I have added a NPC to the Balmora Morag Tong Guild
You can barter for the kit and poison ingredients.
There is no unique dialogue added to the NPC.
The poison ingredient is a unique copy of the
vanilla poison ingredient so the NPC is the only
source of the poison that works with this.
There is only one kit but the poison respawns.
How do I use it?
Simply equip the kit. A dialogue menu pops up.
if you have any poison and vanilla arrows in your
inventory just click on the topic to poison it.
Can I poison crossbow bolts?
No. It is only an arrow kit.
I never got around to making a bolt kit because i
had a scripted crossbow that made its own bolts
Compatibility:
It is compatible with a vanilla game.
The poisoned arrows use vanilla stats with the
poison effect added. It may not be balanced with
any balancing mods that change arrow stats, but
will still work as intended.
Usage Permission:
full permission is granted to do whatever you like
with it just give credit to this mod.
Technical Notes:
The dialogue menu is merely a scripted forcegreeting
to a skeleton placed in the cell with the vendor NPC.
Forcegreeting will work anywhere in the game once the
actor has been loaded into the game therefore the
skeleton is placed safely in its own place in the cell.
I have never ran into the 72-hour bug with forcegreeting
but if the kit stops working returning to the cell may
fix it. You'll be back there for more poison anyway.
