(OpenMW) The Lazy Atronach Birthsign

Description

If you've ever chosen the Atronach birthsign, you know the drill: summon an ancestral ghost, smack it around until it turns hostile, let it cast a curse, absorb the spell thanks to Spell Absorption, and watch your magicka refill. It works but it's a hassle. You have to actually fight the ghost and you need to have the right summon spell in your spellbook in the first place.

This mod cuts out all that busywork. Any character born under the Atronach sign receives a dedicated custom spell. The summoned ghost spawns already hostile, casts its curse on you, and vanishes after just seven seconds. The hostility is handled cleanly via a Lua script.

Requirements

OpenMW 0. 49 or newer

Installation

Install the archive with your preferred mod manager, add the mod's folder to the OpenMW launcher's Data Files paths, then enable both Lazy Atronach Birthsign.omwaddon and Lazy Atronach Birthsign.omwscripts.
