📋 About This Mod
Morrowind is full of distractions from the Main Quest, which is part of what makes it fun, exploring the world and engaging with the people, instead of a tunnel-visioned focus on the Main Quest.
However, all those skills and items you gather in your adventures on Vvardenfell can make the "Grand Finale" quite lackluster, being able to take out the "legendary" Ash Vampires (who are spoken of only in whispers by the Ordinators and Armigers at Ghostgate) with a single blow, only to be rewarded with items that pale in comparison to what you can enchant yourself, or rewards available from other questlines (and the DLCs). Also the fact that lesser enemies (Ash Ghouls and Daedra) have certain effects, such as reflect, that are quite powerful but these are absent on the Ash Vampires (making them easy to take out with a few spells or scrolls).
This mod seeks to remedy that by making the Ash Vampires (and Dagoth Ur himself) far more formidable opponents.
What changes are made?
All Ash Vampires recieve the following buffs:
-Blessings of the Heart:
Fortify Health: 300
Fortify Attack: 100
Sanctuary: 50
Reflect: 70
Restore Health: 1
Restore Magicka: 3
Restore Fatigue: 5
Resist Normal Weapons: 100%
Alongside this, all their artifacts have been made Constant Effect and more powerful, their souls are now worth 900 charge each, their base health and magicka stats are more than doubled and their spells are made AOE and have had their magnitudes increased.
Dagoth Ur recieves a myriad of buffs in both of his stages, the Heart Ring is also improved considerably but is Cast on Use instead of Constant Effect like the other items (but has huge buffs comparatively). His 2nd form has a soul value of 4000, making it the most valuable soul in the game.

Masters of the Sixth House is a combat overhaul mod for Morrowind that significantly increases the difficulty of Sixth House boss fights and enhances the rewards for defeating them. It's a niche mod with 21 endorsements, last updated in July 2022, aimed at players seeking a tougher challenge.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- If you're tired of steamrolling the Sixth House, this mod cranks up the challenge to keep you on your toes.
- Better loot means your efforts actually pay off — no more feeling ripped off after a tough fight.
- Tiny but dedicated following (21 endorsements) — the community that uses it swears by it.
⚠️ Cons
- It's a niche mod with only 21 endorsements, so you're venturing off the beaten path.
- Last updated in 2022, so it might not be compatible with the latest Morrowind mod setups or patches.
For Morrowind veterans who find the base game's Sixth House bosses too easy and want a tougher challenge with better loot. Skip if you prefer a more balanced or lore-friendly experience — this is purely a difficulty and reward tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod only affects Sixth House bosses, make sure you've progressed far enough in the main quest to encounter them.
- If you're using a mod manager like Wrye Mash, install this mod and rebuild your patch to ensure compatibility with other mods.
- Back up your save before installing, as the increased difficulty might catch you off guard if you're under-leveled.
