Kvetching Mananaut Music for OpenMW (S3maphore)

This is a reimplementation of the wonderful music of Kvetching Mananaut into OpenMW, using the S3maphore music framework. Basically S3maphore allows me to set it so tracks will only play under certain circumstances, like Brass of the Deep Folk will only play in Dwemer dungeons.

With permission, I emulated the conditions used by Mananaut's own MUSE implementation of their tracks, while also adding a few things.

Mananaut's music is part of why I started playing Morrowind for the first time recently, and frankly I think the game would feel incomplete without it.

You can also purchase their music on there, which I would greatly recommend so they can hopefully continue making great music (though I can't promise that for them of course).

The music is made in a dungeon synth style. At first, I thought it might clash with the orchestral music of the game, but I can assure you it actually works very well.

Be aware, though, that a few of the tracks contain ambient noise (like cicadas in The Moons In The Grazelands). I don't think these sounds sound obtrusive or out of place in the game, even with a mod that adds ambient sounds, but if you dislike it you can go down to the configuration section of this page to see how to exclude these tracks. I've also indicated which tracks have these elements on the track list on this page.

I considered trying to remove the ambient sounds, but it seems like tools for that are all behind a paywall (and I'm not using "AI"). If anyone has any recommendations for free programs for that, please let me know.

To have Scipio's music work with this mod, simply install their music mods but don't install the .lua S3maphore playlist files (the ones in the S3maphore installation process, or the optional file on the Temple music modpage. When done this way, music from Scipio's mods will be added to relevant playlists from this mod.
