Joe's Fire Atronach for Open MW reskin v1. 0
I will keep this brief..
This is a reskin of the Fire Atronach in Morrowind....intended for Open MW.... It might work ok on Morrowind, but some of the effects might not.... Like the Glow for example...
It adds tweaked particle effects and tweaks his default textures...
Also adds a Glow map.... I am using the addendum _g to the name of the texture file....
I tried to keep the effects fairly balanced to help with immersion and framerates.....
Installation
Drop Data Files folder into your main morrowind directory, overwrite when prompted....
Hope you like it.. Drop me a line on the nexus if you have any suggestions.....
A cosmetic reskin of the Fire Atronach for Morrowind, optimized for OpenMW, adding a new glow effect. With 15 endorsements and last updated in 2020, it's a niche visual tweak for players wanting a fresh look at a classic creature.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple visual upgrade for a classic creature, perfect for OpenMW players.
- Lightweight mod with 391 downloads, showing some interest.
- Easy to install—just drop the files in your Data Files folder.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 15 endorsements, so it's a niche mod with limited community feedback.
- Last updated in 2020—might not be compatible with the latest OpenMW versions.
- No screenshots or detailed description, so you're flying blind on the look.
For Morrowind players using OpenMW who want a fresh look at the Fire Atronach without overhauling the whole game. Skip if you're on vanilla and expect full effects, or if you prefer lore-friendly consistency.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's for OpenMW, make sure you're using the OpenMW launcher and not the original Morrowind executable.
- Place the mod files directly into your Morrowind Data Files folder, then enable the .esp in the OpenMW launcher.
- If you're on vanilla, test the glow effect—if it doesn't show, that's expected.
