📋 About This Mod
Adds a new, mostly lore friendly way, to become a vampire and introduces a reason to actually play and complete the vampire storyline.
Were you dissatisfied with the way to become a vampire? Did you find it really annoying once you got disease immunity from the main quest that you needed to stand and be hit for a long time while spamming weakness to common disease just to enjoy that part of the storyline, only to do the quests and then get nothing of value from them if you picked Berne or Quarra?
So was I, so I tried to fix that.
This mod adds a Vampire Rat in the alley way behind Ra'Virr's shop who will sell you vampire amulets. Equipping one will automatically infect you with the indicated clans strain of vampirism. The gameplay is then the normal vampire story, you can do quests, be hated by everyone, and go about your day. When you finish the quests you want to do and ask Molag Bal to cure you, you'll get a notice that the NPC nearby has some items for you. They're a weakened version of your skill and stat boosts that you had as a vampire! (50% power)
The mod also modifies the Vampire Touch spell to absorb Magicka and Fatigue as well, to fit better in line with the idea of the spell. Open to feedback and I may further expand the mod depending on the feedback I get.
