Grass for Windhelm - City of the Kings

A groundcover plugin to place grass onto the landscape in Windhelm - City of the Kings using Aesthesia Groundcover. This can be used by either MGE or OpenMW to place grass throughout the Windhelm environment. As it uses the meshes and textures of the Aesthesia groundcover mod please ensure you have it loaded for it to work.

Remember that grass esp's are not part of the standard load order but must be either generated separately for MGE as distant land or loaded as 'groundcover=' in OpenMW. More detailed installation instructions are at the bottom of this page.

This was built on a custom configuration file for the new terrain types included in Windhelm. Overall the grass style is similar to as found in Solstheim but more sparse. This was built for Windhelm version 0. 7 and will be refined further as Windhelm is further developed.

I would like to acknowledge Yacoby and his MW Mesh Generator. The latest version take advantage of modern processors and is very quick and stable.

Instructions:

1. Download, place and enable Windhelm from Windhelm - City of the Kings at Morrowind Nexus - Mods and community

2. Download, place and enable the mesh and textures required from Aesthesia Groundcover - grass mod at Morrowind Nexus - Mods and community

3. Download this mod and place in your Data directory.

4. Do not enable grass plugins in the load order! Instead:

A) using Distant Land generator from MGE XE - when generating distant land, enable the grass plugins in it.

B) using OpenMW then in your openmw.cfg file enter and save the following line at the top of the file "groundcover=Grass_New Windhelm.esp"

Grass will now be in your game!
