📋 About This Mod

This mod serves as a companion mod to The Great Seawall of Vivec. The Gates of Ascadia fortifies the land routes to Vivec, with several Velothi gates and walls controlling access to the city. It also replaces several wooden bridges in the Ascadian Isles with more imposing Velothi style bridges.

As of Version 2. 0 it incorporates several elements from Ascadia - Land of Pilgrimage as well as few other new elements. You can check the changelog for a full list of all of the new additions.

Compatibility

It will be incompatible with the above ALOP mod, but this mod is now designed to be a lightweight alternative to this mod, and can be paired much more easily with various Ascadian Isles mods.

In the latest version I've removed the portcullis to the cantons of Vivec, so it should now be compatible out of the box, with most Vivec City overhauls, including BCOM.

DreadnaughtVCN for their work on ALOP

Lucevar for her work on the bridge near the Vivec Strider Port.

The OAAB_Data and Tamriel_Data teams for their resources used heavily in this mod.

DimNussens for his Velothi gatehouse used throughout this mod.

The Ancestral Ashkhans for the Velothi Resources from Secrets of the Crystal City

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since this mod adds walls and gates, check for conflicts with other mods that modify Vivec City or the Ascadian Isles.
  • Use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2 to keep track of your load order and avoid overwriting issues.
  • If you're using OpenMW, ensure the mod is compatible—most Morrowind mods work, but it's worth checking the mod's comments.
