📋 About This Mod
Key Feature:
This mod attempts to rebalance the enchanting skill in a way that it's possible to reach level 100 by simply playing the game normally, without cheesing or using trainers extensively.
XP based on enchantment cost
XP is now based on how costly is the enchantment. In base morrowind you would need to use Fargoth's ring 60 times to just get a single level up. With this mod installed using Fargoth's ring 20 times is enough for a level up. But a more powerful enchantment like Spellbreaker (that has a base cost of 360) can grant 36 XP, enough to level up from level 99 to 100 with 3 casts (or from level 35 to 36 with a single one).
XP for using enchanted weapon
Using enchanted weapon with "on strike" effects now grants XP even if it's minor (near 10% of what you would get by using an enchant with the same cost but "on cast"). This is to allow enchanting to be levelled even on character that just want to use enchanted weapons and want to have less charge cost to squeeze more use out of their enchantment.
XP for enchanting and recharging
I wanted to make scaling XP even for this but sadly it's not an easy task to mod. For now it will grant much more XP, even 10 times as much as the base game for creating a new enchanted item. While this is cheesable (basically makes reaching level 100 easy by just creating 150 items) it's better than the base game version as you will easily get a whole level up (or half a level) each time an item is created. Recharging an item gives just 3 times more XP.
Installation and Requirements
Requires OpenMW 0. 49 or better. Files should be dropped in the Data folder and then enabled in the OpenMW Launcher. It does not require a fresh save.
Uninstalling
Just remove the files or uncheck them from the launcher. You can uninstall without any problem from any save at any stage of the game.
Compatibility
As this mod is just a script that gets triggered when enchanting is used there should be no compatibility issue, unless some other mod would change how enchanting XP is handled.
This OpenMW mod rebalances Enchant skill XP gain so using enchanted items grants more XP, scaled by enchantment power. It aims to make reaching level 100 achievable through daily item use, though the description is cut off and lacks install details.
