📋 About This Mod
Removes the drinking sound from Telvanni Bug Musk and replaces it with either "blip, blip, blip", "glup glup" or silence.
PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOD. IT IS A HACKY AND BUG-PRONED SOLUTION. I MAY REVISIT IN FUTURE AND DO IT PROPERLY.
A little bug fix for the bug musk that mutes the drinking sound that plays when Telvanni Bug Musk is equipped and instead plays an appropriate, Vanilla friendly, perfume splashing sound.
Also included is an optional, more "lore friendly" version of that sound. From elderscrollswikia.com : "It is sold in sealed flasks, and appears as a dark red-brown paste." Now, looking at the flasks, it can't be that thick a paste or you'd never get it out, so I imagine we're talking about the consistency of Ketchup, thus the "lore friendly" Musk sound is more of a "glup glup" than a "blip blip".
If you would rather it play no sound at all, a seperate .esp is also provided for that.
*PLEASE NOTE
There is a bug whereby occasionally the drinking sound still plays the first time you activate the plugin, but only for the first bottle of musk you equip. I don't know what causes this, any advice welcome.
There is already a similar mod on the Nexus by Green_Shade called "Telvanni Bug Musk Perfume". Which goes more in depth with fixing this bug. It gives the Musk several uses and stops you from slathering on bottle after bottle for insane Personality buffs.
COMPATIBILITY
Because this mods works by inverting the phase of the Bethesda sound: "drink" which was not implemented into the Vanilla game, you would expect that it would be incompatible with Vanilla Morrowind, however, when creating a compatibility version to work around this issue (supposedly just a case of editing the "swallow" sound) I was still unable to make the mod work at all in Vanilla Morrowind, even just to bring up a message box.
If someone wants to let me know what I'm doing wrong that would be most appreciated and I will upload a new version.
For now though, incompatible with Vanilla Morrowind (Code Patch or Otherwise).
