📋 About This Mod
As an homage to TES IV: Skyrim, Arrow to the Knee adds unique voiced dialogue to male guards of the province in Skyrim: Home of the Nords. The focuses of this mod are reactivity to player faction and skill/attribute choices, location awareness, and giving the guards their own personality.
The guards have greetings based on:
-
[]Player skills - The guards will comment on 25 different skills if the player is proficient (70+)
[
]Player attributes - They will notice high attributes (70+)[]Player faction choice - They will comment on membership of the three Imperial guilds present in Skyrim.
[]Location awareness - Dialogue for major cities, which for the current SHOTN release means Karthwasten and Dragonstar.
- Personality - the guards love cracking jokes, and currently have 21 one-liners to share. If anyone has good Skyrim jokes to add, share them in the comments!
Female guards are not currently included but may be in a future update.
Compatability
Compatable with vanilla, MGEXE, and OpenMW. Should be combatable with any other dialogue mods, as all lines are filtered specifically to Nord guards in Skyrim.

- Boosts immersion without overhauling the game—just more guard banter
⚠️ Cons
- Only 64 lines—might get repetitive after a while
- Requires Skyrim: Home of the Nords, so it's not for vanilla players
For Skyrim: Home of the Nords players who want more life in their guards and appreciate classic Morrowind voice talent. Skip if you're on vanilla Skyrim or want a bigger content mod—this is purely a dialogue tweak.
