MHWI: Reforged revisits weapons, armor, skills, equipment progression, rewards, and many other systems throughout Monster Hunter: World — Iceborne. Discover new builds, give familiar monster equipment another chance, and find new reasons to return to the Smithy from your first Low Rank hunts to the toughest Master Rank encounters.

Reforged aims to make hunting feel challenging and believable. Massive monsters deal dangerous damage, while high-quality equipment gives your hunter the strength required to survive.

Positioning, preparation, resistances, defensive skills, and knowledge of your weapon become more important. Reckless attacks carry a greater risk, while thoughtful preparation and skillful play are rewarded.

The goal is a fair balance between danger and power. Monsters feel threatening again, but your hunter develops from an inexperienced Low Rank adventurer into a highly equipped Master Rank hunter. Progress remains noticeable, and every successful hunt feels earned.

Overlooked equipment receives another chance. Raw damage, elemental power, affinity, sharpness, skills, and decoration slots all contribute to a weapon’s value. Each weapon class and monster tree should offer its own strengths and support different hunting styles.

Zenny play a larger role in Reforged. Equipment, upgrades, and valuable trade items require more deliberate decisions. Hunts, rewards, and material gathering become more meaningful parts of your progression.

You must think carefully about which weapons and armor pieces you want to craft or improve. Successful hunts finance your continued progress, while powerful equipment feels like a genuine investment.
