📋 About This Mod
Increases monster length and speed randomly.
This is mod is half challenge and half comedy, inspired by a mod I made a long while ago and never released. That mod was inspired by seeing youtuber/streamer SDShepard use a similar mod, which was very amusing to watch. I don't believe that mod ever got a public release, which is why I've wanted to make this.
Here's a quick showcase of what this mod does.
UbA4hdQBjlg
It's fairly simple, monster length will change every 30 seconds (between 80% and 150%) and monster speed will change on every action the monster does (between 90% and 200%). There is also an optional version where monster length does not change randomly and is instead always fixed at the max of 150%.
That's it! That's all the mod does! The weird wiggly movement is caused by changing monster length, the models aren't sure what to do so they end up flailing wildly. Worth noting that the length increase is not applied to all monsters, as the game can crash when doing so (e.g. Zorah, Deviljho). If you notice the game consistently crashing on a certain monster, please leave a comment or bug report to let me know. I tested a lot, but in some cases (like Deviljho) the crash would only occur on certain attacks. I left out some optional larger monsters like Behemoth and Kulve just to be safe. Jho still gets sped up though. :)
If you do run into any issues, there's also some commands I added that you can type into the game chat (while in the lobby) to toggle the mod effects:
To turn the random speed on/off, just do /toggle speed
and to turn the random length on/off, just do /toggle length
You should see a little popup saying speed/length is set to true/false as confirmation. If I still haven't fixed a crash for a specific monster, this can be used to get around that. I do recommend playing in a solo lobby since typing those in the chat might look weird to others.
And it should be obvious, but this mod is for singleplayer only. Do not use this in multiplayer, it may case issues even if everyone else is also using it.
Requirements
This mod requires SharpPluginLoader. Installation of that is pretty simple, just copy it to your Monster Hunter World folder. winmm.dll should end up in the same folder as your Monster Hunter World .exe file.
Be aware this may conflict with some other plugins like Cutscene Skip, though in that specific case I was able to get it to work by playing in fullscreen at native resolution.
Installation
Copy the nativePC folder into your Monster Hunter World game directory.
