Big Bad Banbaro Buff

Description

Banbaro has long felt a little... off.

The only herbivorous Brute Wyvern in the game, and one that can definitely contend for biggest Brute in the game, and yet, its moves are weak, slow and don't hit hard, even if they involve flinging literal boulders at you!  To make things worse, Banbaro is considered a 1 Star Monster, despite being 2-3 times bigger than any other monster in that category, and deservingly so with how easily it's flinched, knocked down, and killed by even the freshest of hunters.

No more!  With this long overdue mod, Banbaro makes for a longer, harder fight worthy of a giant moose-dinosaur, bringing the beast from a fragile sapling to a mighty tree!

Installation instructions

1. Make sure you've downloaded Stracker's Loader.

2. Simply stick the "nativePC" folder into your game directory.

3. Launch the game and fight a much meaner Banbaro!

Main features

This mod increases Banbaro's health, damage, rage modifiers and hitzones to make him much stronger.

Health has been increased by around 45% with general part health and status resistance buffs raised and flinches being less common. Breaking Banbaro's legs and horns takes time, but rewards you with more openings between attacks! The horns take reduced stun until they're broken.

Damage for most moves is up between 20% and 50%. Slower, heavier moves have had their stun increased, and some horn jabs have been given a low amount of bleed, though this probably won't come into a fight unless you're getting hit over and over in quick succession.

Rage builds much faster and lasts longer, and increases dramatically the more injured the monster is, with Banbaro essentially being enraged all the time until very low health. When enraged, Banbaro moves 24% faster and hits 10% harder, with the player also dealing 10% more damage to the monster.

Banbaro is a peaceful nomadic forager, seeking plants all across the New World. These creatures defy typical Brute Wyvern nature by being fairly gentle, but that doesn't mean they're pushovers!

Banbaro's whole body is now tougher and his horns are so hard that hits will bounce right off. You'll have to chip away at this armour to deal damage, but when you achieve a part break on the horns or feet, you'll be able to dig deeper for some real damage!

As a monster which rams its head into walls, trees, and rocks, Banbaro's horns take only 20% stun damage, and also send weapons bouncing, so you'll need to get close to the head to do real damage!

The moment it senses a predator or rival, a healthy Banbaro enters it's rage state, flashing a small third horn on its nose, as well as revealing protective neck armour, and will defend itself brutally without hesitation!

With adrenaline pumping, Banbaro will charge with all its momentum, building to a terrifying speed! For a large deer, Banbaro is surprisingly resourceful, using their environment to their advantage. Trees, rocks, or even chunks of coral or magma can be held safely on the durable horns, and thrown or slammed towards hunters and monsters alike. When backed into a corner and critically, a Banbaro will defend itself with all it has, entering near constant rage!  Be ready to slog through the creature's heavy coat and hide, even when at the brink of death, Banbaro will take great effort to finish off...

Being such a large animal and pushing such fury isn't free though, and combined with a heavy coat, Banbaro is now a bit quicker to exhaust itself. Take this chance to target the legs, as breaking through the hard hoof and solid scales, allows for heavy damage, and can trip this titan when it tries to turn at high speeds!

I actually have modifications like this to almost every monster, just for my own taste and enjoyment, but if you guys wanna see what other basic mods I've done around buffing or balancing monsters, feel free to ask!  Since they are just edits to the base stats, they should be compatible with any cosmetic mods or things that change Monster AI.
