This mod only work for Long Sword. If you are attacked by monster when sheathing, iai will activate automatically, and in most case it won't fail.

Attack from your teammates can't activate automatic iai.
Your teammates can see that you had used iai successfully though they haven't install the mod. That means you look like a sword master.
