========== Principle ==========
Your armor pieces are defined in .mesh ("armor shape") and .mdf2 ("armor materials, texture") files. Each armor part has an associated material and this mod enables you to hide or show them at will, effectively "breaking" your armor/clothes if done in a certain way. You can choose between 2 types of breaking for each material: damage and time. There is also the hidden type which effectively hides a material no matter what when you refresh the materials (more on that below).
========== Damage mode ==========
The mod keeps track of a damage counter between 0 and a maximum value that you can define, and increases/decreases this state based on events. In the settings ection of the REFramework UI, you can define a damage threshold (let us call it T here) and whether to enable multi-break.
Without multi-break, whenever you take damage (let us say D), there is a probability D/T for the counter to increase by 1. Any damage over T guarantees an increase of 1. If multi-break is enabled, the mod tries to fit as many damage thresholds as it can below the damage you took and increases the counter by 1 for each one. For example, if you take 50 damage and your threshold is 15, it is decomposed as 15+15+15+5 so the counter will increase by 3 + 33% (=5/15) of chance of another increase of 1.
Note that this mod checks for your red health (green + red parts of your health bar), your current red health is displayed in the testing section.
You can enable armor restoration in the settings so that consuming some items reduce the counter by your defined values (does not work in the training area as the items are not consumed).
========== Time mode ==========
The mod keeps track of 2 counters, a local time counter and a quest time counter. The quest counter automatically detects when a quest starts, resets the quest timer and starts it. The local counter can be modified at will in the testing section (there is also a button to synchronise it with the quest counter), and controls the show/hide aspect of the mod.
========== Params setup ==========
For both modes, you can define lower and upper bounds (both included) for each material that defines the range of damage counter values or local time counter values for which they are shown (for example with damage type, a top between 0 and 3 and a bra between 4 and 6 so that the bra is hidden when the top is shown and conversely). If you want to completely prevent a material from ever appearing, set its type to hidden. A slider is present above all materials to define the max damage counter value (if defi

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 153 endorsements and over 7,800 downloads.
- Adds a dynamic visual layer to armor without heavy scripts.
- Recently updated (April 2026) — likely compatible with current game version.
⚠️ Cons
- Potential compatibility issues with other armor mods that alter materials.
For players who want a bit of visual feedback when their character takes hits or uses items, without overhauling combat. If you're into immersive details and don't mind figuring out installation yourself, this is a neat addition. Skip if you prefer full armor overhauls or need clear documentation.
