Sunwae's Invulnerability Frames (IFrames) Upgrade is a small combat tweak for a game (likely Dark Souls or similar) that increases the invulnerability frames of all evades, making dodging more reliable and rewarding. With 404 endorsements and 11,958 downloads, it's a popular quality-of-life mod for players who find the base dodge timing too punishing.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 404 endorsements and nearly 12k downloads.
- Makes evades feel much more reliable, so you can actually dodge through attacks without pixel-perfect timing.
- Three intensity options let you dial in exactly how forgiving you want the dodge to be.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects iframes—no other gameplay changes, so if you want a broader combat overhaul, this isn't it.
- Last updated in December 2020, so it might not be compatible with the latest game patches or DLC.
- Potential balance shift: with more iframes, you might find the game too easy if you're used to the original dodge timing.
For players who love the game's combat but find the dodge timing too strict or punishing. It's perfect for those who want a more forgiving experience without changing the core mechanics. Skip if you're a purist who wants the original challenge or if you're looking for a comprehensive combat overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Start with the 'slight' increase to get a feel for the new timing, then bump it up if you still find dodging tough.
- If you're using a mod manager, make sure to enable this mod after any other combat mods to avoid conflicts.
- Test the mod in a low-stakes area first to see how the new iframes affect your dodge rolls before heading into boss fights.
