📋 About This Mod
Craftable Kulve Taroth Weapons All rarities: Gold (R6), Taroth (R7), & Kjárr (R8)
Made for v15. 1X. XX.
The cost is 1 `Kulve Taroth Golden Shell`
You must have acquired this item at least once before the weapons appear on the crafting list.
I will not change this. The item requirement makes sure people have beaten KT before crating anything, ensuring quest progression is not broken.
The item needed is an HR KT material as this works in base-game too. You don't need IB to use this.
This in no way prevents/removes/alters any other crafting options. The KT weapons are added to the crafting list in addition to all the rest, so in theory, this won't interfere with anything else.
By this point, I'd say there's almost zero issues with using this, but having save backups is always a good idea.
KEEP A BACKUP OF YOUR SAVE BEFORE YOU USE THIS!
If you find a KT weapon that is not upgradable after crafting, it's most likely due to not beating MR KT legitimately. I've seen people hack the golden shell in and have it not work which is completely expected since the item itself doesn't enable upgrading them, that's don by beating MR KT.
I've seen some describe weapons as non-upgradable till they removed the mod and then they could upgrade it. I have never been able to replicate this and have no idea how they've managed this. I suspect this is just Vortex being shit and fucking something up but who knows.
If the problem is with the weapon AFTER upgrading it, it's not this mod, it means you have outdated weapon data. Use the Obsolete Mod Detector to find outdated mod files.
This does not unlock or craft MR KT weapons. This only crafts the HR weapons. Upgrading HR KT weapons is a vanilla feature and you must have beaten the MR KT event to unlock it.
Once you beat that event you can upgrade HR KT weapons to MR.
No, I will not make a mod to craft MR KT or Safi weapons. They don't spawn in right and are broken.
- MR KT weapons are upgradable when they shouldn't be.
- Safi weapons don't spawn with the first augment and crash the game when you try to upgrade them.
I wrote a program to automatically add these weapons to the crafting files, so it should be super easy to update this when MHW does.
This mod makes Kulve Taroth weapons craftable in Monster Hunter: World, allowing players to forge Gold, Taroth, and Kjarr weapons without relying on RNG from the siege. It does not interfere with other crafting recipes. With over 3,500 endorsements and 100k downloads, it's a popular quality-of-life addition for hunters frustrated by the grind.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 3,582 endorsements and over 100k downloads show this mod is widely used and appreciated.
- Directly solves the RNG grind for Kulve Taroth weapons—no more endless siege runs for the one weapon you need.
- Non-intrusive: explicitly doesn't mess with other crafting, so you can use it alongside other mods without conflicts.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in October 2020—might not be compatible with the latest game patches or Iceborne updates, so check before installing.
- Requires the base game's Kulve Taroth content; if you haven't unlocked the siege, the crafting recipes won't be available.
For Monster Hunter: World players who are tired of the Kulve Taroth siege RNG and want to craft their desired weapons directly. Also great for completionists who want to collect all Gold, Taroth, and Kjarr variants without endless grinding. Skip if you enjoy the siege mechanic or prefer to earn weapons through gameplay.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the Kulve Taroth siege unlocked in your game, as the crafting recipes will only appear after you've encountered the monster.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex, install this mod through it to keep track of updates and avoid manual file placement errors.
- Back up your save file before installing any mod, just in case—though this one is simple, it's always good practice.
