📋 About This Mod
How does it work?
By default MHW no longer loads the required reshade files from the game folder and uses system files instead. It has been like this for a long time now, probably since iceborne dropped. So for my own reshade preset I came up with a way to easily hook reshade by modifying amd_ags_x64.dll, found in the game folder, to also load the reshade dll file. While my preset has been around on nexusmods for a few years now I never actually shared a standalone version for this, until now. Have fun creating your own presets or downloading one, mine can be found here: Sildur's Enhanced MHW
Installation:
1. Download Reshade: https://reshade.me/#download
2. Run the setup and select MHW and directx 10/11/12.
3. Go in to your game folder and rename dxgi.dll to ReShade.dll
4. Create a backup of your existing amd_ags_x64.dll file and drop the modified version from this mod in to your game folder.
5. That's it, reshade should now be hooked by the game in both dx11 and dx12 mode.
1. Delete the modified amd_ags_x64.dll file and restore your backup.
