# ScriptedSMPHelper Recording Mode Paper 1.21 plugin features for controlled recording sessions. ## Commands - `/recording start` turns recording mode on. - `/recording stop` turns recording mode off. - `/recording toggle` switches the current mode. - `/recording status` shows the current mode and bypass count. - `/recording bypass <player> ` manages a persistent player bypass. - `/recording bypasslist` shows configured bypass names. - `/recording freeze <player> ` freezes a player. When `allowLooking` is true, they can still rotate their camera. - `/recording unfreeze <player>` unfreezes a player. - `/recording border center <x> <y> <z>` sets the recording border center. - `/recording border set <radius>` sets the recording border radius. - `/recording border active <true|false>` also toggles the border. - `/border active <true|false>` toggles the border active state. - `/recording reload` reloads `config.yml` and `data.yml`. - `/recordingreload` also reloads `config.yml` and `data.yml`. Players need `ScriptedSMPHelper.recording.admin` for the command. Operators have this by default. ## Default Behavior When recording mode is on: - Chat messages are blocked. - Blocks can only be broken if they are listed in `recording.block-breaking.allowed-materials`. - Blocks can only be placed if they are listed in `recording.block-placing.allowed-materials`. - Ender chests, all shulker boxes, water, and lava bucket placement are allowed by default. - Armor lock can optionally prevent equipping or removing armor. - Death punishment can play a configurable sound, then kick or ban the dead player. - PvP is enabled by default. When recording mode is off: - Recording restrictions are disabled. - PvP is disabled by default. Operators bypass recording restrictions automatically. You can also give a player the `ScriptedSMPHelper.recording.bypass` permission, or add them with `/recording bypass <player>`. Death punishment ignores those bypasses. Bypassed attackers can PvP outside recordings even while normal outside-recording PvP is disabled. Bypassed players can wander outside the recording border; non-bypass players are held inside the radius. If death punishment is set to `BAN`, the player is banned only for the active recording session. `/recording stop` automatically unbans players that were banned by this plugin during that session. ## Files - `config.yml` controls all toggles, allowed materials, bypass behavior, messages, armor lock, and PvP behavior. - `data.yml` is created automatically and stores the current recording state and bypass list. Use Bukkit/Paper material names in config, such as `COBWEB`, `OAK_WOOD`, `WATER_BUCKET`, and `LAVA_BUCKET`.
