This mod fixes an old (https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-86135) that causes shields with banners to display inconsistently. The block form of the banner uses a 20x40 texture while the shield uses a much smaller 10x20 texture. Despite being labeled as a bug on their official issue tracker, this was likely an intentional decision by the developers to keep banners pixel consistent with the rest of the time. This mod defines higher quality textures which restores the accuracy and quality that was lost by that decision.
