Begin by crafting one of two types of mob cages: a normal one, for manual harvesting, or a hopping mob cage, which puts drops in the inventory below. 2. Populate the cage with an item that creates the perfect environment for your chosen entity, so they can feel at home … kinda, without being imprisoned of course. Example environments include: - Hay blocks (animals and neutral mobs), - Stone blocks (monsters), - Magma blocks (nether mobs), - Sand blocks (desert and underwater mobs), - Snow blocks (cold biome mobs), - End stone (end mobs), and more (for other environments, look at the JEI recipes)! 3. Use a DNA Sampler to capture your desired entity. Some entities may require stronger samplers! 4. Watch as your entity grows and effortlessly collects its drops.
