Fewer Bad Events

Description

Yea, it's a bit weird to play a roguelite and then get annoyed by bad RNG, but I'd prefer to lose by being a crap strategist than my cats' legs falling off from an event tile that's sort of outside of my control.

What Does it Do?

• []Removes most bad outcomes from events

  []Removes some negative effects from outcomes that the games considers good (like a minor debuff)

  []Removes any "kill cat" events (except the obvious sacrifice choices)

  []Tragedy events will still occur, but will only be non-debuffs such as "{cat} misses home"

  []Adds a choice to just Fight the White Rabbit or Dark Den events

  What Does it Not Do?

  • []Doesn't remove weather events (or HAPPENINGs, as the game calls them). Maybe if people demand it I'll add an optional file

    Installation

    Note: I suggest this mod should be loaded as far down in the load order as possible as it overwrites outcomes and the game loads mods from last to first.

    For example, you may want another mod modifying event outcomes to boost rewards.

    Install via Mewtator

    Open the zip and drag the data folder to be alongside the Mewgenics.exe in the install dir

    Unpack the mod to a mods folder and add to your Steam launch commands:

    -modpaths "<path-to-mod>"

    Uninstallation

    Remove via Mewtator

    Delete the relevant files from the events folder found inside the data folder alongside the Mewgenics.exe in the install dir

    Remove the mod from the Steam launch commands and delete the mod's folder

    Reporting Issues

    If you still get a debuff, or bad outcome (and you confirm it by your cat having that, not just the game saying so in the outcome text) please make a note of the text that's on the screen (even if in another language than English).

    The text for events is easily searchable in the game files in order to find the actual event and is better than you vaguely describing the event in question!
