📋 About This Mod
I already know what you're thinking, "a preset mod?".
I didn't imagine I'd ever be posting one of these, but here we are. The objective of this mod is to subtlety make things look slightly better, while being completely faithful to the original graphics. I have put enough time and effort into this to be happy with posting it, which is something i dont say lightly. I've always thought Reshade mods were awfully lazy or overdone in their effects, both of which i have been extremely careful to avoid. If a mod like this is the kind of mod you're skeptical about, i encourage you to try it atleast, and comment any criticism you have. I openly invite any of which or thoughts you have about this preset.

Subtlety is a ReShade preset for Skyrim that aims to improve the original graphics without drastically altering the look. With only 5 endorsements and 157 downloads, it's a niche choice for players seeking a light visual touch-up. Last updated in September 2024, it may work with current game versions.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Light touch approach—if you want vanilla-plus visuals without heavy saturation or bloom, this could be your jam.
- Recent update (September 2024) means it's probably still compatible with current Skyrim builds.
- Tiny download size (implied by preset nature) means no performance hit from massive texture packs.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 5 endorsements—this is a very niche preset, so you're on your own if you hit issues.
- No before/after screenshots or detailed description, so you're flying blind on what it actually changes.
For Skyrim players who want a subtle visual upgrade without overhauling the game's look. If you're into vanilla-plus aesthetics and don't mind experimenting with a low-download preset, give it a shot. Skip if you prefer dramatic graphical overhauls or need detailed documentation.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure ReShade is installed and working before dropping this preset into your Skyrim directory.
- Use the ReShade in-game overlay to toggle the preset on/off and compare with vanilla to see if you like the changes.
- If the preset doesn't show up, check that the file is in the correct ReShade presets folder (usually Skyrim's main folder).
