EXPERIMENTAL

Not all products use all the shelf headroom; now you can adjust shelf heights to fit more stock on the shelving units.

This is the first public release. It has been tested on railed grocery bays (small and wide) in a play session, including extra decks, price labels, restockers filling every deck, and save/load. It has not been left running for days of live store play yet. Keep a backup save. If something looks wrong after a load, report it before you overwrite that backup.

What it does

Look at a shop-floor shelf and press F8. Raise or lower a deck with Page Up / Page Down or the mouse wheel. Press Q/E to choose the shelf you want to adjust, indicated by a different-coloured blue panel. Empty a shelf and press Delete to remove it. Insert restores a removed original, or adds an extra shelf if every original is already in the bay. Extra shelves can sit in a gap or above the top vanilla deck when there is room. Insert adds one extra deck (both halves on a wide bay).

Shelves stop about 4cm from the cream board of the shelf above and below, and also at stock on the lower shelf. They stop under the bay canopy so they cannot sit above the unit. The blue marker sits on the cream of that deck, not on the rail.

The base shelf stays put so the bay keeps its frame. On a wide bay both halves of a shelf move together.

Price labels and stock

Extra shelves get their own price label. Empty extras keep a SOLD OUT tag after you take the last item off. Click an empty label to remove it. Restockers can fill original shelves and extras.

Products on extra shelves come back after a save. Extra shelves save their cream height, so they come back where you left them.

This version only moves shelf height. It does not change how products stack or where the game places them on a shelf.

Which bays it edits

MegaShelves is built for the railed grocery bays (small and wide). It does not edit the older plain white grocery shelves (those are one combined body mesh).

F8 is off for:

  Layout is stored in the save as MEGASHELVES_LAYOUT v2. Save the game after you finish F8.

    Requirements

    Tobey's BepInEx Pack

    Install

    Install Tobey's BepInEx Pack first.

    Open your Megastore Simulator folder (Steam: right-click the game → Manage → Browse local files). You should already see a BepInEx folder there.

    Unzip this file into that same game folder. The zip opens on a BepInEx folder. Let it merge with the one you already have. If Windows asks to replace files, say yes.

    Optional: press F1 (Configuration Manager) to change the edit key or step size.
