What it does

Vanilla Megastore Simulator days run 06:00-22:00. The game clock advances in 0. 1 sim-minute ticks, each tick waiting 0. 066 real seconds.

MegaClock makes that wait longer. A day lasts DayLengthMultiplier times as long. Customers, staff, physics, and animations keep full speed.

At the default of 2, you get about twice the real-world time to stock, serve, and run the floor before the day ends.

Why this is not Time.timeScale

Some clock / speed mods change Unity Time.timeScale. That slows everything that uses Unity's time, including customers and staff. MegaClock does not do that.

It Harmony-patches TimeManager. Start (postfix) and replaces the private field point1MinWaiter with a new WaitForSeconds(0. 066 DayLengthMultiplier). Only the clock's wait between ticks changes.

If you want a longer day and a store that still moves at vanilla speed, use MegaClock instead of a timeScale clock mod.

Installation

Assumes Steam Megastore Simulator and BepInEx 5 already installed (Tobey's pack is what most Nexus users use).

• []If you do not have BepInEx yet: install Tobey's BepInEx Pack, extract it into the folder that contains Megastore Simulator.exe, launch the game once, then quit.[/]

Do not stack with timeScale clock mods

Clock mods that set Unity Time.timeScale (TimeLord and similar) will still slow NPCs. Running them with MegaClock can stack badly. Use MegaClock or a timeScale clock, not both.

Other clock utilities (pause-when-closed, freeze-time tools, and so on) may overlap depending on how they patch TimeManager. If the day length looks wrong, disable the other clock mod and test MegaClock alone.

FAQ

Does this slow customers and staff?

No. The clock wait is longer; NPC speed is unchanged.

Is this the same as TimeLord / Advanced Clock Control?

No. Those approaches typically change global game speed. MegaClock only stretches the day clock.

Can I make days shorter than vanilla?

Yes. Values below 1 (down to 0. 25) make the clock run faster. Staff and customers still move at full speed, so the floor gets busier relative to the clock.
