📋 About This Mod
This mod adds weather and gravity to planets that will affect the heat and movement of mechs.
The contract biome details has 4 new text rows that will show you the effects.
All modifiers are adjustable in the gameplay options screen and are updated in real time (if you change them mid-mission, they should apply immediately).
The default values:
40% increase in cooling @ -180 C
Stock @ 20 C
-20% decrease in cooling @ 120 C
10% increase in cooling @ 200 kPa (2 atmospheres)
Stock @ 100 kPa (1 atmospheres)
-15% decrease in cooling @ 0 kPa (vacuum)
10% increase in cooling @ 100% humidity
Stock @ 50% humidity
-10% decrease in cooling @ 0% humidity
Ambient Temperature is based off the biome tags and time of day. It was based off the orbit, size, and sun type, but sometimes you would get a glacial map with an ambient temperature of 200 C.
Extreme Cold = -180 C to -50 C
Cold = -60 C to 10 C
Temperate = -10 C to 35 C
Hot = 30 C to 80 C
Extreme Hot = 70 C to 120 C
Gravity affects ground and air movement for mechs:
0. 1 G = 15% increase in top speed; 30% increase in acceleration, deceleration, turn speed, jump jet acceleration
1. 0 G = Normal
2. 0 G = 15% decrease in top speed; 30% decrease in acceleration, deceleration, turn speed, jump jet acceleration
