Orbital Drop Airstrike Replacement - Spawn Pool Fix and Expansion

THIS MOD REQUIRES THE ORIGINAL ORBITAL DROP AIRSTRIKE REPLACEMENT MOD TO FUNCTION!

Snafulator's Orbital Drop Airstrike Replacement is a great addition to MechWarrior 5 as a fun and very satisfying replacement for the underwhelming vanilla airstrike. Despite this, the mod had some issues in how it allowed mechs to spawn. Most of it's spawn composition files are outdated or straight up broken with errors in how it references which units to drop. This is especially apparent when using the "YAML" file which actually includes a ton of incorrect entries from Yet Another Mechlab Mechs. The mod also was never updated to add support for several other popular, but more recent mech mods including but not limited to Yet Another IS Mech, Yet Another Clan Mech, Classic Mech Collection, and Exotic IS Mechs.

Also included is reintroducing some old drop options such as the infamous UrbanMech Apocalypse.

This mod will directly interface with the original ODAR and enact changes that add support for most mech mods and includes properly updated spawn pool files for each of them.

THIS WILL BE A NEXUS ONLY RELEASE WITH SUPPORT FOR ONLY NEXUS VERSIONS OF EACH MOD

INSTALLATION

The zip file will contain two folders: the patch mod and a dummy of the original mod's folder with the updated spawn composition files in it. To properly install the mod:

1. Go to the directory of your installed MW5 mods.

2. Locate ODAR's folder named "VehicleDropAR".

3. Open it and open the "Resources" folder within. Delete the following files:

> gui_config.ini

> spawn_composition.json

> spawn_composition_costs.json

> spawn_composition_options.json

> spawn_pool_base.json

> spawn_pool_mt.json

> spawn_pool_oc.json

> spawn_pool_pt.json

> spawn_pool_st.json

> spawn_pool_yacm.json

> spawn_pool_yaml.json

4. Extract both folders from the zip into your MW5Mercs/Mods directory where your other mod folders are stored.

> IF YOU IGNORED OR FORGOT STEP 3: When prompted to replace the original spawn composition jsons in ODAR's folder, do not do so. Instead, go into ODAR's resources folder and delete the original files then extract the updated json files in for a clean installation.

5a. IF USING A MOD MANAGER (RECOMMENDED ONES ARE MW5 MOD ORGANIZER OR MW5 LOAD ORDER CONFIGURATOR): The patch mod MUST LOAD AFTER ODAR otherwise it will not work.

5b. IF NOT USING A MOD MANAGER: Activate the mod in the in-game mod list and restart your game.
