MW5 intro video replacers.

Hello to the few of you who thought, "I'm not satisfied with the current intro that I'll only see once or twice in my life.".

If you're not satisfied with the current intro, then I can help you out.

Thing is PGI switched the . BK2's and the old mod won't work anymore.  I

happen to have Rad Video Tools and can convert to a .bik, afterwards all

I have to do is rename to .bk2 and presto, the video works.  If i had

the license for .bk2 I'd convert properly, the videos would compress as

well and look better.  Still this works for now.

First release is that awesome Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries opening remake by

I hid the logos in the beginning (not to offend, but to make it look better with this game as an intro not an opening)

I also changed the logo at the end to match the game.

Second release is the intro from Battletech by Harebrained Schemes.

It looks good with this game and explains without words how it all came to be.

Third release is the 2018 single player trailer.

Always liked this one, though a bit long.  Maybe I should edit some of

the shots out?  Not sure.  Had trouble finding a good way to compress

and I think I found one that wasn't too bad.

Fourth release is the 2009 Teaser trailer, the video that got me hyped up for a new Mechwarrior game.

Sorry for the size again, just hard to compress to a better size without it

getting really ugly.  Just added the logo at the end to again match this game.

Fifth release is the badass trailer for Hired Steel from TMC.  They have many videos including Mechwarrior videos.  The work on this series is really something

To install:  Find your Mechwarror 5 install folder then the movies folder (MW5Mercs\MW5Mercs\Content\Movies)

Backup the original intro_video.bk2.  Rename the new intro the same

name(intro_video) and drop in the Movies folder.  That's it, you're

If for some reason you want to replace the Campaign intro too, because you don't care for all that Commander Mason stuff, do the

same thing.

Replace with your choice and rename : campaign_video

Any feedback would be appreciated.  I'm admittedly not a talented video

editor or anything like that.  Any ideas of how to convert to bink

videos without any quality loss would be awesome lol.
