About

I made this because the save editor I used to rely on was closed-source and hadn't been updated in ages. I wanted one that actually worked on current versions and stayed free, so I built it myself in my spare time.

With it you can edit your campaign save directly: add 'Mechs, tweak your pilots, stock your inventory with weapons/equipment/ammo, fix your C-Bills, and change your standing with every faction. There's no installer and you don't need Python or anything else - just download it and open your save. It has a light/dark theme that follows your Windows setting, and it tells you when a new version is out.

It's open-source too, so if you don't trust a random .exe (fair enough), you can read exactly what it does on GitHub.

What you can edit

• []Mechs - add mechs, edit a mech's loadout (swap/add weapons per hardpoint, set fire groups, edit armor), change chassis, repair to full armor, reset to factory stock, export/import a single loadout, or remove mechs. Cards show weight class, tonnage, location, and stock structure/armor type.[/]

  []Pilots - callsign, name, salary, every skill's XP and caps, and pilot traits (full 167-trait catalog with friendly names). You can add brand-new pilots or remove them.[/]

  []Inventory - add weapons, equipment and ammo from searchable lists, set their counts, or remove them.[/]

  []C-Bills - set your money to whatever you want (there's a one-click max).[/]

  []Factions - edit your standing with all 17 factions plus your company reputation.[/]

  []Appearance - Light / Dark / System theme, remembered between sessions.[/]

  How to use it

  • []Back up your save first. Seriously - see below.[/]

    []Run JJsaveEditor.exe (no install needed).[/]

    []Click "Open..." - it points straight at your MW5 saves folder.[/]

    []Edit whatever you like across the Mechs / Pilots / Inventory / Factions tabs.[/]

    []Hit "Save", then load the save in-game.[/]

  It also makes a .bak backup automatically the first time it saves over a file.

  Please back up your saves

  This edits your save files directly, so keep a backup before you use it. Save editing isn't something the game's developers support, so it's at your own risk. I've built it to be safe (saving with no changes leaves the file byte-for-byte identical), but back up anyway.
