Looking at the fire rates of all the BF cannons the original fire rates of the AC10BF & AC20BF make no sense, at least to me. Take a look at the stats...

AC/2BF

0. 06s per shell

4 shells per burst

0. 6 damage per shell

AC/5BF

0. 1s per shell

3 shells per burst

2. 0 damage per shell

All well and good - bigger shell, more damage, slower fire rate. Then things go a bit whacky....

AC/10BF

0. 05s per shell

6 shell burst

2. 0 damage per shell

So the AC/10BF is just a faster firing AC/5BF with a bigger mag. Now for the real odd ball...

AC/20BF

0. 0418s per shell

12 shell burst

2. 0 damage per shell

What?? An AC/20 shell does the same damage as an AC/5?? Look at the calibre difference of the barrel! Surely it must do more damage than that!

So here are my adjusted AC10BF & AC20BF stats

Adjusted AC/10BF

0. 1s per shell

3 round burst

4 damage per shell

Adjusted AC/20BF

0. 2s per shell

4 round burst

6 damage per shell

The overall damage/heat per burst remains the same but the shells themselves hit harder depending on their calibre.

I also modified the sound effects so that the audio matches the fire rate. The AC/10BF now uses the same sound effect as the AC/5BF and the AC/20BF uses the UAC/5 sound effect.

In my mind, at least, the BF cannons now make a bit more sense. The AC/10BF becomes a good mid ranger while the AC/20BF can't really be used to saturate targets at long range as it no longer fires enough rounds to make up for it's inaccuracy so it becomes the proper close in brawler it was supposed to be.

This mod can be used together with my UAC5 Minigun mod which makes the UAC5 fire like a proper multi barrelled cannon.

Standard Installation

Download the zip file and extract the single file (MW5Mercs-Z001-AdjustedAC10AC20BF.pak) to your MW5Mercs\MW5Mercs\Content\Paks folder.

128mm Realistic Velocities Version Installation

Download the zip file and extract the single file (MW5Mercs-Z011-AdjustedAC10AC20BF.pak) to your MW5Mercs\MW5Mercs\Content\Paks folder. You will need to make sure the "Z011" part of the file name is higher than the Realistic Velocities file name. When I packed the file Realistic Velocities was using "Z010" so no change should be required. However, if it does change in the future e.g. "Z020" then you will need to update the file name of this mod to "Z021" or higher.
