📋 About This Mod

Increased by a factor of 20% the Byrding and Knorr hulls to make them more useful!

As an avid player of Viking Conquest over the years , it has become one of my favorite mods to go back and play Warband.

Over these same years I have noticed I have NEVER EVER used the Byrding and Knorr hulls as anything but loot to sell back at the ports.

So I decided to simply make them bigger by a factor of 20% in the X axis (making them longer) while keeping vanilla Z and Y dimensions.

This simple change makes the hull have a bit more breathing room to add more crew, which is my final goal. Since there are a lot of of

VC submods out there, I decided instead of making a specific submod of VC just offer the increased hull size brf so people can add during

compilation their preferred flavor of crew totals. As they stand right now having 7 and 9 crew members for these ships is simply ridiculous

and forces you to always be on the lookout for biggr crew capacity hulls.

By making these bigger you could theoretically add more crew members and make them more useful.

Be aware that making them too big will produce a model hull that is as big as you make them but the edges will be "blank/fall through space" as there is no apparent way to enlarge the collision mesh beyond a certain size. A 20% increase will not create these "blank" spaces at the tip and back noticeably.

You are welcome to further edit the brf meshes but be aware of this, so my recommendation is that for any hull to be increased anything beyond 20% is inviting the creation of these blank spaces in the collision mesh. YMMV as well, some of the hulls seem to accept up to 50% increases in the X axis without any lack of collision but again, more people playing around with this modified BRF is needed. 20% is a conservative amount and I have walked to the edges of both the Knorr and Byrding without falling much unless I stepped out of the boundary of the vanilla collision mesh.

I am offering them now as a modders resource for anyone wanting to make their own submods with these bit bigger hulls right away.

Enjoy them!

If you use them, just please give back credit! That is all!
