📋 About This Mod

In another outing to make the aesthetic of the trilogy more cohesive, I have backported the weapon models from LE2 and LE3 to LE1. Every weapon now has a unique appearance. The models have (mostly) been lined up with firing type of the gun. As well, the geth now have recognizable sniper rifles, shotguns, and heavy weapons. Details in the screenshots.

There is now no longer special installation instructions. Mod content has now been stored within a mergemod and a custom 2DA loaded in memory and can be installed at any time.

I recommend installing Black Market License (LE1) by 55tumbl alongside this mod as I also extended the models to those guns as well.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community trust (6,005 endorsements) and massive download count (206,380) — this is a proven favorite
  • Gives ME1 weapons a fresh look without changing gameplay, perfect for veterans who've seen the originals a thousand times
  • Simple install with no extra steps — just drop it in and go

⚠️ Cons

  • Pure cosmetic overhaul — if you wanted new stats or mechanics, this isn't it
  • Only affects weapon models, not textures or animations, so some might find the change subtle
  • Last updated in February 2026 — could break with future patches, though it's likely stable now
🎯 Is This For You?
For Mass Effect Legendary Edition players who want the sleeker weapon designs from ME2 and ME3 in the first game. Perfect for veterans replaying the trilogy who want visual consistency. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or if you prefer the original ME1 weapon looks.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you're modding the Legendary Edition, not the original Mass Effect — this mod is specifically for LE1.
  • Since it's a simple model replacement, you can install it manually by dropping files into the game's directory, but using a mod manager like ME3Tweaks Mod Manager makes it easier to uninstall if needed.
  • If you're using other weapon mods, install this one first and let it overwrite to avoid conflicts.
