📋 About This Mod
Ever since the 1994 STCC race proving to be a one time affair, and with the race organizers arrested due to fraud, The Sandago Grand prix circuit had been laying dormant and its future had been uncertain until 2000. Robert Jornin bought the track and decided to bring it back up to international motorsports standards. He did this by completely rebuilding the track and shortened it considerably. Next he moved the pitlane to the left side for bigger pitboxes and a safer pit entry. he also tightened turn 1 in order to improve overtakes and increases runoff in a lot of places. Next he narrowed the back straight to make the entry to the chicane slower and more challenging. He had also created another shorter layout for smaller racing categories. All these changes including the much improved grandstands meant that the Sandago Grand prix circuit was restored back in use in 2001 and was raced by the reunited STCM series. A year later, the Sandago Grand Prix Circuit had acquired a new event sponsor known as Olive Innovations. And the military airfield the track was built in fell out of use in 1998, so the track was to be a permanent circuit. Today the track is used by a variety of racing series. Lore aside, I spent way too much time building this track and this is my christmas present to the community. I hope you enjoy it :)
