📋 About This Mod
So I figured I'd do this since I wanted some teutonic gear in the game but nobody had made any reskins. Adds a Teutonic waffenrock (reskinning either long plain or long talmberg waffenrock using the Teutonic texture already in the game files), a teutonic shield (reskinning the decorated shield), and a teutonic horse caparison (replacing the black/white chekered one). I recommend using Cheat Console to get the items, and the codes for them are following:
For V1. 1 Talmberg and V1. 1Alt, (Replaces long talmberg(and by proxy all long town) waffenrock)
Teutonic Waffenrock (long talmberg waffenrock): 4999ec4c-a60d-3ab0-52ca-1c0fdd761d94
For V1. 1 Plain (Only replaces the long plain waffenrock, requires console command to get)
Teutonic Waffenrock (long plain waffenrock): 4b1ddc3c-954f-da6d-4947-81621d77119e
Teutonic Shield (Shield Decorated): bd0beb13-9c64-40fb-988c-ed1f0a122b14
Teutonic Horse Caparison (black/white checkering): 40e576c7-74e8-216e-a4f0-a3aa6bd35387
V1. 1Alt is an alternate look for the waffenrock, seen in the last image.
To Install, place the "zzz_teutonic_gear.pak" in both KingdomComeDeliverance\Data, and KingdomComeDeliverance\Data\_fastload folders.
Teutonic Gear adds three Teutonic-themed reskins to Kingdom Come: Deliverance: a waffenrock, a shield, and a horse caparison, using textures already in the game files. It requires console commands to obtain items and manual installation into two folders. With 191 endorsements and last updated in 2018, it's a niche cosmetic mod for players wanting Teutonic flavor.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Fills a gap for Teutonic gear in KCD—nobody else had made reskins
- Uses in-game textures, so it fits the game's aesthetic seamlessly
- Simple install: just drop the .pak file into two folders, no mod manager needed
⚠️ Cons
- Requires console commands to get items—no in-game acquisition method
- Last updated in 2018—may be incompatible with current game patches
- Only three items, and the waffenrock replaces existing ones, so you lose the original look unless you swap files
For KCD players who want to roleplay as a Teutonic knight and don't mind using console commands. If you're into historical accuracy or just want a fresh look for your gear, this is a quick add. Skip if you want gameplay changes or items you can find naturally in the world.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to enable the console by adding -console to your launch options in Steam, otherwise the item codes won't work.
- Place the .pak file in both the Data and Data/_fastload folders exactly as the author says—missing one can cause the mod not to load.
- If you want the alternate waffenrock look, use the V1.1Alt version and follow the corresponding code from the description.
