📋 About This Mod
Game version 1. 6 Update
Finally updated to the new game version, thanks to user Obscene911
Game version 1. 3. 1 Update
Mod updated to new game version. Installation instructions changed: extract contents to your KCD main folder (remove old version first).
Mod v. 3. 3
Updated sword textures. Specular and normal maps don't seem to be working properly for some reason.
New in v. 3. 2
Added unique sword, the Terminus Est.
It's an executioner's sword, but heavier (requires much more strength) and with greater slashing damage.
I'm not very happy with the textures, so will do some more polishing. Feedback is welcome.
New in v. 3. 1
Added black hoods that stay up, for all your Dr Doom needs.
Code courtesy of Midnight Armor and Black Hoods Up mods, with custom deep black textures .
New in v. 3. 0
All armor pieces are now unique items, with names and descriptions
Both helmet versions are available at once
Added black mail coif
Built-in compatibility with Midnight Armor
Automatic scripted addition of all items to inventory
Nothing short of a mortal fiend, they are quintessential black knights, carrying a reputation of the foulest sort
This mod adds a unique set of Black Knight armor and sword that once belonged to a robber baron. This was used as historical reference (although it is a slightly later, gothic design).
The armor is matte black with golden trim, and has very low visibility, greatly aiding stealth (especially combined with the Stuffing perk).
Two helmet versions are available, Totenkopf (Death's Head) and Teutonic Cross.
The sword is a variant of an executioner's sword, called Terminus Est. It has great slashing damage but low piercing damage. It requires 15 Strength to wield, so is an end-game weapon.
All armor pieces have best-in-slot stats.
All items are added to inventory automatically via console script (see Installation). No shops carry these items, as they are unique. Think of them as treasure looted off the corpse of the robber baron as he tried to waylay you during your travels.

Compatibility
This mod was designed to be fully compatible with Midnight Armor, which is a great armor mod that is also build around darkness and stealth. All necessary assets are included, and Midnight Armor will be added with the same script. This was done for those who do not want to spend time merging mods, so that everyone can enjoy the greater armor diversity. A separate installation of Midnight Armor is not required and will in fact conflict with this mod.
Will conflict with armor and clothing stat changes. Use mod merger or manually merge. My additions are at the bottom of each xml.
Adds a unique set of Black Knight armor and sword to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, inspired by historical gothic design. Includes two helmet variants, a black mail coif, and the Terminus Est executioner's sword. Features low visibility for stealth, unique item names, and automatic inventory addition. Updated for game version 1.6.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 2,365 endorsements and over 82k downloads — clearly a well-loved armor set.
- The Terminus Est sword is a beast for end-game strength builds, with heavy slash damage that fits a black knight fantasy.
- Low visibility armor is a stealth player's dream, especially when paired with the Stuffing perk for sneaky playthroughs.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2018 — might have compatibility issues with newer game patches, so check before installing.
- Author notes specular and normal maps aren't working properly on the sword textures, so it might look a bit flat in certain lighting.
- Requires 15 Strength to wield the sword, so it's useless for early-game or non-strength builds.
For KCD players who want to look like a menacing black knight while sneaking through the countryside. Great for stealth-focused builds that want heavy armor without the visibility penalty. Skip if you prefer historically accurate armor or don't want to invest in strength for the sword.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to remove any old version of the mod before extracting the new one to your KCD main folder.
- If you're using the Midnight Armor mod, this mod has built-in compatibility, so you can use both without conflicts.
- The sword's strength requirement means you'll want to level up strength before you can wield it effectively — plan your build accordingly.
